The Creamy Layer

I love Indian bureaucratese! My new favorite term is “the creamy layer” which I came across while doing research for the film. On this “central list of backward classes” is a list of “Persons/Sections Excluded from Reservation which constitute Creamy Layer of the Society.” I think that we should start using this term in the states!

creamy layer= heart burn for a few indians like me.recently our dishonourable politicians in power have stongly proposed including the “creamy layer” in reserved posts in jobs and education(BTW the % of reserved seats is 50% in india,which makes a big mockery of the concept of minority)

Ahh…and to think that something creamy would be soothing to the gastric mucsa…now where the hell did i put the antacids?!
