It <em>is</em> difficult, but the stress of the job comes from the inevitable back-sliding that I see. The inability to control anger, the occasional cursing, the apathy -- I can live with all that. It's seeing a kid have two good days in a row, a kid who you thought was making a turn around, suddenly, after the one apparent step forward, turn and sprint backwards with all his might. Re: the pay -- it's great! Salary and perks at a non-profit are the stuff of legend! :) Thank you for your kind words, both here and at akacoopeople.com.
