Taiwan Take on Gulf War II

In Taiwan, Gulf War II was seen by the military as a model of what an invasion from China might look like. Of course the Chinese military aren’t anywhere near as high-tech as the US, but they do have lots of missiles. Although the war was a resounding defeat for Iraq (even if it isn’t officially over), the Taiwanese have taken heart in how long the Iraqi’s held out:
