Frog-march

Language, Law, Politics

FROGMARCH verb [mid-19th century and still in use] to carry someone face down, one person holding onto each limb; used on drunks or recalcitrant prisoners.

In case your wonder, the term was used by Joseph Wilson to in reference to alleged leaks by senior White House officials, exposing his wife as an undercover CIA operative specializing in weapons of mass destruction.”

At the end of the day, it’s of keen interest to me to see whether or not we can get Karl Rove frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs. And trust me, when I use that name, I measure my words.

Such leaks, if they are exposed to be true, are a violation of federal law.

Body and Soul has a very good overview with links to this news as it broke.

UPDATE: Looks like Karl Rove might just get that frog-march…

UPDATE: There is a great FAQ about the story up at the Washington Post web site. And Calpundit’s excellent fisking of an NRO article is well worth a read.
