On an average “20 Indian films are shot in various locations of Switzerland every year.” No wonder Bollywood producer Yash Chopra was recently given “an honorary citizenship by the government of Switzerland in recognition of the profound contribution his films have made to Swiss tourism.” In 2002 the Swiss Institute in New York had a “Bollywood in the Alps” themed New Year’s party.
