An important new group blog has been launched. Here is a statement from one of the inaugural posts on the blog How the Other Half Lives:
In this new team blog, we will step out of the air-conditioned comfort of the Metro to look at what we don’t want to look at; to confront A Reality Called India, to understand this Reality, punch it, kick it, make it speak, to let it weep through its emotions rather than maul them in statistics. We will hear that thud in the hills rather than shut our windows.
We have consciously kicked off this initiative on January 30: today was the day that we killed Gandhi. He continues to be killed every day: we stand here wondering if we are complicit in the murder by being silent witnesses.
