I recently heard Julie Hayden’s “Day-Old Baby Rats” on the <a href="http://www.newyorker.com/online/2010/03/22/100322on_audio_moore" onclick="_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http://www.newyorker.com/online/2010/03/22/100322on_audio_moore', 'New Yorker Fiction Podcast']);" >New Yorker Fiction Podcast</a>. It got me thinking about NY in the 70s, when I was a kid.
